Forget Dame, Nick Cannon is the real Ultimate Hustler.
Between his Mtv show Wild ‘N Out, the movies, albums, clothing line, and his infamous private life, I never thought Nick Cannon would find the time to hang with R.C. Not only did he chat me up, I even talked him into starring as me in my upcoming (i.e. when I write it) film, Rocka - Electric Boogaloo.
R.C.: You’re the king of multitasking, so let’s start with the album?
Nick: It’s called Stages, it’s off my own label, Cannonball Records through Motown Universal. You know, its like taking it to the next stage in the game by being a CEO, and a mogul, but still talking about all the stages that got me this far, and all the different stages I perform on. If anyone has any questions about me, you can find the answer on Stages due in stores on June 20th.
R.C.: You shoot a video?
Nick: Yeah, and I actually directed the video. I actually direct all my videos.
R.C.: I used to live in Dc, and I know Izzy, the guy featured on your first single, "Dime Piece" - how’d you hook up with him?
Nick: We trying to put the nations capitol back on the map. He’s gonna do it big. He’s official, he won eight weeks in a row on WPGC’s freestyle battle.
R.C.: I remember, I was living there then.
Nick: Well, he’s official.
R.C.: Your such a hustla, I am constantly amazed with your star power. Who do you expect to guest on the third season of your show, Wild ‘N Out?
Nick: We looking to get Snoop, Will Smith, Jamie Foxx. We trying to go hard on the third season, that’s our wish list right now.
R.C.: Between the TV show, movies, and albums. How do you find time to be you? I mean do you have a clone or something?
Nick: (He laughs) Man, I always say that my vocation is my vacation. I love working, everything I do I love doing it, I would be doing it even if it wasn’t my job. Like being in the studio making music, or writing jokes, that’s stuff I would do anyway. That is me, that’s the cool thing about me, I get to be me all the time, it doesn’t even feel like work. Or the fact that I don’t get to sleep.
R.C.: At my lowly level, even I experience haterz, but I am sure you get it in droves, how do you deal with that?
Nick: To me its funny. I come from a standpoint of dealing with haterz, my goal is not to make you love me. My goal is to make you love something I do. People hate on my movies but love my music. People hate on my music but love my TV show. I am gonna get them with something.

R.C.: I hear you have a clothing line also these days…
Nick: I purchased P&B Nation, it’s a line that’s been in NYC for a long time. I felt like I could help take it to the next level. The opportunity presented itself, and being the businessman that I am, I went ahead and copped it.
R.C.: Were you already wearing their clothes?
Nick: I was a fan of their line before, so my business partners said it was available so I went ahead with them and made it happen.
R.C.: Business partners, that makes me think you have a lot of disposable cash… Tell me about the gadgets you can’t live without?
Nick: I’m always on the boost mobile chirps… i’m always chirping… The phones have walkie-talkie thing across America to chirp people. I love doing that, it’s easier than dialing or typing a message.
R.C.: How has the girl game changed since you went from ashy to classy?
Nick: I’ve always been Nick Cannon the ladies man… (He Laughs) Nah, just playing. It’s changed dramatically.
You know what it is, now that I am 25 years old, been working out. Now women are paying attention to me. Before I had a young female fan base, but now it’s real official with the 25 and up crowd.
R.C.: Tell me more about this new found 6 pack… are you just skinny or what’s going on?
Nick: Nah, I try to get an hour in everyday, I box too. A lot of that keeps me going.
R.C.: Are you listening to your own music while you work out?
Nick: I listen to slow music, like Old School R ‘n’ B. Like SWV, and Bobby Brown, I’m just an 80’s R’n'B head.
R.C.: You know people call you Nickelodeon Cannon, to dispel that, what’s your favorite curse word?
Nick: Probably shit… (laughing) Like, that’s my shit right there.
R.C.: What question are you tired of answering?
Nick: Did I play the drums in Drumline.

R.C.: People really ask you that?
Nick: (Sounding exasperated) Every single day, about 5 times a day.
R.C.: What do people who don’t like you say about you?
Nick: He’s corny.
R.C.: It could be worse. It’s 11 pm on a friday night, where would we find Nick Cannon?
Nick: In the studio, making beats.
R.C.: If we drug tested you what would we find?
Nick: Absolutely nothing - if anything a bunch of protein shakes, some nitro tech.
R.C.: Iiight, be on the lookout, I am writing my memoirs… Very edgy about a young hustler, I am thinking you should play me, it would be a smart career move on your part.
Nick: Ok, that’s wassup. That sounds good, I am with you.
R.C.: I’m serious, so in about 5 years, get ready for your close up - I am talking Image award material here.
Nick: (Chuckles) That’s all good…
