With the premiere of the third season of my faaavorite show, Making the Band 3, we thought it appropriate to see if our readers thought “Danity Kane” (the moniker the girls recently revealed on TRL) has what it takes to reinvigorate and redefine the “girl group.”

I must admit, I was a bit wary of Diddy’s selection at first, considering the lack of big voices (Dominique, Denosh) in the group… but Aubrey, Aundrea, Wanita, Shannon, and Dawn have been persistent of late at driving away those pesky doubts of mine. Last night’s episode showed them flying to New Orleans (Dawn’s hometown) for some true publicity slutting, and gave a local radio show some fire acapella harmonizing.

And while I’m not totally convinced that Danity Kane has what it takes to break out of Diddy’s prison of talent over there at Bad Boy, their new single “Show Stoppin” is a rather catchy little uhh… diddy. So take a listen and let us know what you think… can they fill Destiny’s stiletto’s or at least X-Scapes timbalands? This MTB3 addict is leaning toward “yes”…

    I’m a fan of MTB3 also and like their new song. Not sure about their name though.

    Hopefully, the girls watched MTB2 before returning. Da Band is a text book example of how to f-up your career before it really starts.

    I LOVE the new single! I also think the name fits for the girls and I honestly hope they can break the recent bad luck of Diddy. I think these girls really have what it takes and I support them all the way!

    People, please realize this isn’t the final cut. This is a rough studio mix. Diddy and Young Joc are on the official track. Let’s judge the REAL single, not the rough mix!

    PS- let me just say, these girls have VOCALS!! Just wait til you hear what my girl D Woods can do! They all have something to offer, though. They have tons of potential

    i love the song…i think it’s different from what is being played and im glad they didn’t go towards a more pop single..so for that i give them props. Not feeling on the name but i think they are very talented!!

    Why in the world are people defending this song? Please tell me that the songs not finished. What in the world was that 64 count pause in the middle? Another thing its not ghost ride IN the whip. At the end was that an attempt at the down south screw scene? All five girls, Puffy, and the producers need to be ashamed of that song. That was a big let down. Chalk up another loss for Bad Boy.

    nah i dont where u live but if you were from NY you would know Tiffany affair is gonna be big. whenever a pop group is getting played on power 105 and hot 97 its over. they look better and sound better than danity kane and i love puff but these girls are kill your group

    Guys, all the girls are beautiful{this is just a really horrible picture of them.Its awful}. But you cannot deny that each girl is talented. Plus you dummies, this isnt the finished version of the song. Its just like a rough copy of what the official song is going to sound like.

    I do wish the girls some type of success in the future,only b/c I feel a lil bit sorry for them signing to Diddy. ( We all know how that ends up) but they just seem to me like they are trying too hard!!! As far as the name….Danity what? That is so wack. Hopefully these girls will prove me wrong.

    I have to wonder if “Diddy” is really trying to make a great girl group or a great reality TV show.

    Half the time Diddy acts like he doesn’t believe in them. If he isn’t convinced what makes him think anyone else will be?

    Diddy can’t sing, he can’t rap, yet he’s become a mogul. If he wants these girls to succeed to superstardom they will, because they actually have talent. But I’m not convinced that’s really his goal. I think he’s just in this to make a reality tv show.

    Tell me why everyone is hating on them. I love these girls I watched MTB since Diddy started this idea. And so far this group is the best one. Everyone is just hating. Don’t hate man congratulate. And besides I love the name Danity Kane. And they didn’t pick Dominique because it’s obvious that she can’t dance. Must I remind you of the stinky face she used to make. All the girls in this group can sing. Excluding I’m not a big fan of Aubrey, but I love Shannon and D-Woods. And Aundrea can really, really, sing.

    And I don’t blame him for not picking Denosh, she had a real bad attitude. She just knew that she was already in the band. That’s exactly why she didn’t get picked.

    Man these girls are hot!

    What are we mad because we’re not with Diddy? Is that the problem? Could that be why most of us are hating?
    Get that hate of ya blood yo. Trust me it’s not worth it. I bet they go a lot further than Da Band did.

    Honestly out of all the songs they’d produced I think they should have used that Scott Storch track. Sleep on It was hot as well as that slow song Ride 4 U that Aundrea started.

    I think all you guys need to stop runnin your mouths cause I dont see nan one of you out there doin what they are. you probably wouldnt even made it pass the first round. their new so come on man they are not gonna be the hottest things around until they get some time underneath their belts. but give it a rest cause all this negativity is bringing the hip hop and r&b game done. ill pray for you guys

    um…yea when i first heard da name danity kane on i think it was aug 3 or sumthing i was lik WA Danity …
    BUT after da the group explain wat it means i was lik oh ok i got it.
