Just when we were about to replace him with Robin Thicke, Justin returns.

According to his peeps:

“Jive Recording artist Justin Timberlake will release the follow up to his 7 million worldwide debut release Justified; FutureSex/LoveSounds on September 12, 2006. The first single “SexyBack” will ship to radio on July 7, 2006.

‘SexyBack’ was co-written and co-produced by Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Nate Hills. FutureSex/LoveSounds was co-written by Justin Timberlake. The producers on the album include Justin Timberlake, JAWBreakers, Timbaland and Rick Rubin.”

Seems like Justin is ready to let his freak flag show, considering the risque track titles - we’re sure boning that hot bitch Cam on the reg, has something to do with this. But what’s really intriguing about this project is the absence of The Neptunes (They were unable to work together since The Neptunes left Jive, Kelis is in the same predicament).

In our opinion, the “Pharrell/Justin synergy” was the best thing about Justified, and now that Thicke’s got it, has J’s time passed?

I’m still upset w/ him for the way he played Janet.

Yeah, i’m not over the Janet thing either. I guess since Usher is starting to look more and more like Morgan Freeman..and Robin Thicke isn’t really launching anywhere, Justin felt like this would be a perfect time to do some of his high pitch banshee calls while pop lockin to overused michael jackson beats.

Justin and the Neptunes were hot… but the best track from Justified (to me) was “Cry Me A River” — and it was all Timbo.

I agree, Cry Me A River was the best track, but Rock Your Body was the best take on MJ’s Rock With You yet. I’m still not feeling JT yet but if he can come out with a fresh sound that’s at the same time retro that’s awesome.
