Look who’s back on yet another magazine cover - you guessed it, Miss J. is doing her best Celia Cruz impression for the cover of V.

In what is probably the umpteenth magazine cover for her lackluster album 20 Y.O., Janet’s let herself become feathered for the fashionista’s over at V. What bothers us most about this cover - aside from the obvious looniness of it - is why would such an avant garde magazine like V, place Janet on the cover when she’s virtually been on every important mag’s cover in the last six months.

what bothers me about this and has been bothering me about janet in general lately is… the tawdriness of it all…

I mean… you are roughly 40 and in fantastic shape… we get it. Must we be subjected to the toplessness every time we see you? In videos, on magazines… ad nauseum…

This is why her sales are whack to me. She needed to come back strong, and different, and play down the sexy. The boobs are what put her in the position of falling off enough to even NEED a comeback… so why flaunt them and remind potential record buyers of why they stopped supporting you in the first place?

Janet… I know you aren’t reading this… but I am gonna put this out into the universe anyway. I love you, Janet. Truly… I have been a devoted fan since dreamstreet… fame, different strokes… before you trimmed your nose and e’rythang… but its time to put the boobies away baby. BACK AWAY FROM THE BOSSOM. m’kay?

    Thanks.
