Urb Magazine, the premier alternative music publication for multicultural Gen-Y, has a fascinating cover story on the enigma that is, Lauryn Hill.

The piece, entitled “The Mystification Of Ms. Hill,” has some interesting commentary of Hill’s career up to this moment, and the elusive persona that seems to envelope her music and personal life since dropping her eponymous The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

As one of the most talented artist to hit the scene this century, it’s sad to see that Lauryn’s voice isn’t as prominent as other former members of The Fugees. Until she finally decides to grace us with that ever promised The Khulami Phase, or even release that video she filmed in the city last year, I guess we’ll just be chanting Talib Kweli’s “Ms. Hill”, and hoping one day soon - she’ll release something.

In the meantime, you check out what Urb has to say about Ms. Hill here.

Ms. Hill > Talib Kweli

I mean, this is pretty interesting, but didn’t Toure already write “The Mystery of Lauryn Hill” for Rolling Stone some years back.
