Was it just me… Or did Pharrell’s In My Mind come and go quicker than a Britney Spears stay at rehab…
Although we’ve been feening for the Pharrell solo joint ever since he hit us with his Curtis Mayfield esque falsetto on “Frontin,” it’s accurate to say, that In My Mind sucked didn’t quite live up to the hype.
So almost a year later, DJ Jus Ske decides to salvage the horrific disappointing album, and make it worth bumping the second time around by fusing Pharrell’s lyrics with instrumentals from Prince, Junior Mafia, Eric B. & Rakim and even Stevie Wonder.
Strangely, the album sounds more cohesive with the mix tape format, and it’s also a strong reminder that the best In My Mind album of last year belonged to Heather Headley.
