RC correspondent Dominga hung out with our favorite Girlfriend Persia White, read on to find out what she had to say.

Rocka.Candy: Your character on Girlfriend’s is kind of a flashback to Lisa Bonet’s eccentric behavior on A Different World, so how was the chemistry working with Kadeem?
PW: Great! People thought we knew each other before because we were like an old married couple. Everybody still jokes about it because they don’t believe we didn’t know each other prior. We had what was called a “chemistry read” before he played the part and chemistry is chemistry, you either have it or you don’t, and we did. I have nothing but good things to say about him.
RC: Tell me a bit about your dating episode with the preacher…
PW: Kadeem Hardison (A Different World) is playing the role (laughter) I think it’s funny because I was telling Kadeem, this character (Lynn), she hasn’t had sex for a year and now she’s got this preacher who doesn’t want to have pre marital sex, so it’s a challenge because she’s very sexual and for her to care about someone that much is very HUGE.
RC: Do you think you could ever be a preacher’s wifey?
PW: I’d have to be pretty damn opened minded! (laughter). But I guess it’s possible…anything is possible, especially if you really have a connection with somebody, you can work around anything.
RC: Any possibility of having Jill back?
PW: It would be great if Jill came back because I miss her. I don’t know if Jill will come back. I think that will be up to the producers and her. There’s no talk of it and there’s no talk of a new girl. I think we have a pretty strong cast and the character that plays William’s (Reginald Hayes) wife Monica (Keesha Sharp) has been a really strong force and has stepped in as a fourth Girlfriend and definitely a wonderful, fun person to have a round.
RC: What’s next for you?
PW: Actually I’m just working on music right now and in the studio with Jerome Dillon, he was with Nine Inch Nails for the last 7 years. We’re producing a bunch of songs right now. We did some songs for the show, finishing up an album with XE03 and I have a potential soundtrack which I’m producing for Girlfriends featuring songs and artists that have been on the show, which will be really fun.
