In my next life I want to come back as Kenny Burns…
Who is Kenny Burns? That’s exactly the question that was on my mind, as I was being escorted to his rooftop soirée last summer on the top three floors of this downtown Manhattan penthouse. Burns - who is the co-founder of Ryan Kenny clothing - began his life as a mogul with an A&R and marketing career in the music business with the likes of Jay-Z, Dru Hill & Missy.
If your involved in the nightlife scene on the east coast, you haven’t partied unless you’ve come across Burns, his model’s & bottle’s esque entourage and the requisite cigar in hand. One of the coolest connected guys you’d ever meet, he’s also one of the least jaded… While being introduced at his event, he never made me feel un-important… even though Mtv’s Sway, a statue-esque Famke Janssen, and Sean William Scott were only a stones throw away clamoring for his attention.
