We’re impressed by any lyricist that can name drop En Vogue in the same bar as Jude Law - with an assist from Southampton bred Craig David, Brit import Kano scores.
Kano - a driving force in the UK grim scene - doesn’t move like your average rapper. After eschewing a Hugo Boss modeling contract (imagine an American rapper do that) to work on what would become his underground hit opus, P’s and Q’s, he was marked to become Britain’s next rising star.
He’s now back on the scene with a new album, London Town, due to hit stateside in August. His first single “This is the Girl,” features former Brit “It” boy Craig David, also sporting a new close cropped look. The upcoming album supposedly features collaborations with The Gorillas, Blur, and even Kate Nash.
