What makes your look unique?
I would say my smile, I don’t use it that often, unless I’m in catalogue shoots. It’s so big and it’s almost like I’ve been frozen with my smile.
If you could steal anyone’s book and use it as your own, whose would it be?
I would have to say Liya Kebede, I love her. She always has a different face, expression or movement. She gives her all. She also reminds me of my mother – in a good way.
What ethnic stereotype do you live up to?
I always have to keep my hair done. You know if a black woman doesn’t keep her hair done, it does look a little messy. I am always at the hair salon, always getting new style, and trying something different.
If you were a man, who would you be?
I would say Vivian Thomas (he cured the blue baby syndrome), and I would say him because he had so more courage. He didn’t even finish medical school, but he still had the courage to follow his dreams, and make a difference.
How does your family react to your racier photos?
My family is very particular; they don’t want me doing anything nude. I’ve done something before where I had to get into a shower topless; my family was completely upset about it. They are really into Christ, and they felt like it wasn’t Christ-like. I’ve explained to them it’s a business, but they just don’t understand.
