So… according to EW.com Jessica Beil is in line to become the next Wonder Woman. While I don’t have a problem with this in general - Beil is talented and has an ass of steel – I ponder what would happen if the castings were colorblind?
Who would be Wonder Woman… (and Halle Berry isn’t in the running.)

Paula Patton: Robin’s Thicke’s wife is becoming a major force as an actress, but can she carry a movie? She’s starred alongside the affable Denzel Washington and held her own beside Outkast in the offbeat Idlewild, but she’s still a relative newbie when it comes to opening huge Hollywood films. Good looks and acting chops aside, she can probably handle the job, but would anyone care?

Gabrielle Union: Although she’s been in a string of second fiddle romantic comedies as of late, Gabrielle Union is primed for her break out role, which wasn’t Deliver Us From Eva. Stunning, athletic, outspoken and brazen enough to make you think she can actually be believable wielding a golden lasso, she’s probably the most capable person for the role, but since she’s a serious actress who’s unproven in the action genre… would she even be interested?

Dania Ramirez: Everyone’s favorite new Hero has been quietly amassing a resume that even Jodie Foster would envy. Aside from Heroe’s she’s been spotted on The Sopranos, X-Men, She Hate Me and she’s even Bill Cosby approved after appearing in his Fat Albert debacle. While a Ramirez casting would be a coup for the Latina agenda - and who better to play an island born diva other than someone born in Santo Dominga - is America ready for a Wonder Woman pontificating in Spanish?
Who else could fill Wonder Woman’s red leather boots?
