My first run in with Red Model Ibrahim was quite humbling. It occurred at an after-work event for a Denim label over the summer. During the course of soaking up bottles of red wine, I was not-so-kindly pushed eased to the side so that his adoring fan could photograph him under the company’s logo.

After collecting the remaining pieces of my ego on the floor, I was later informed that Ibrahim’s canvassing the city as the new Apple it boy, with his own iPod campaign. So instead of hating on his hustle, I made him answer the crazy question feature.
What’s your definition of style?
Being yourself and letting that manifest on your body.
Tell me about your craziest modeling gig?
I just did the flying panda for Trace Magazine. They got me in this jumpsuit with a panda face on the hood and the side, with rhinestones. So I was on the rooftop in Williamsburg Brooklyn doing back-flips off of a roof door. They were catching me as I was flipping, so it looks like I’m flying.
If I drug tested you what would I find?
A whole bunch of chlorophylls, I eat a lot of vegetables.
What’s more true about the modeling world, everybody’s gay or everybody’s on coke?
Come on man, that’s an easy one. Both! But I would say everyone’s gay, because there is a black gay mafia.
How does your family feel about the racier aspects of your career?
They make fun of me, but they love me. I don’ have to many poses where too much is going on. I try to stay funky.
