It’s evident that pop stars love to crush on Derek Keetons’ chiseled six-pack. Which would explain how he’s amassed a career posing with the likes of Mya and Idol alum Katherine McPhee.

Between his infamous photo takes, he took a moment to answer our silly question feature. Check out how he thinks below.
What ethnic stereotype do you live up to?
I’m from West Virginia and went to a more white dominated school so most of the people didn’t even consider the fact that I could be mixed or a different ethnicity. When I got to New York, everyone wanted to know my ethnicity. People told me I looked like so many nationalities, which was pretty cool. I’m actually mixed African American and Caucasian, which a lot of people have trouble guessing.

What are you like when you’re drunk?
It’s actually funny, because I’ve never been drunk. I go out and hang with my friends often but never drank to get drunk. I don’t think you have to be drunk to have a good time, and I usually always have a good time. Now, I have been tipsy before. I think everyone that has drank has at least been a little tipsy. I’m really focused on what I’m doing in my life, and I just don’t want to take any chances to mess up the opportunities I’ve been given.
When were the last time you walked away from a fight?
I think the last time I walked away from a fight was about three months ago. The reason I walked away is because is just happen to be my roommate. It was over something stupid too, which seems to always happens in arguments. I didn’t want to ruin our relationship as friends, because we are good friends, so I just walked away. We were able to get over it on the same day, which is cool.
What’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever done with your money?
I actually thought about this the other day. In middle school, after school was done, the girls use to come to me and ask for a dollar so they could get something out of the soda machine. Never did I want to do it really, but usually it was the older girls and they would be like, “Come on D, please?”, they were hard to pass on. I would usually hand out like almost 2 dollars a day, which I got from my allowance. Thinking about it now, I’m so mad because I probably could have saved so much money. I guess I found out at a early age that girls can do that to you.
