You’ve got to love a lyricist who can flow about “Fish, Butter and Grits.”

About two years ago, I met this kid from North Carolina who now goes by the name of Cashtro Mils.  Back then, he was looking to get on, and I was working at a hip-hop mag, so of course – he gave me the demo.

Like every aspiring rapper I met in those days, I told him there wasn’t much I could do, but I gave him some advice on hustling his product – be persistent – it got me everywhere in life. 

Fast-forward, I’ve long since left the hip-hop scene, but this Cashtro Kid is still grinding, and improving his craft.  Check out his sound via his myspace page, and be on the look out for, “Fish, Butter and Grits.”  And if you’re feeling him, show some love.
