I’m no Matlock, but I’ve been noticing a trend when it comes to N.E.R.D. tracks - these dudes love the dope.
If you remember their first album In Search Of…, it was almost a love letter to drug usage with tracks like “Am I High,” “Bobby James” and their melancholy ode to whitney trafficking, “Provider.” But their latest joint “Everyone Nose,” steps it up entirely, by calling out all the recreational candy girls - the video even features a Lindsay Lohan cameo.
What’s most interesting about N.E.R.D.’s national drug convo, is that they skip the cliche and never speak about it on the street level - maybe that would explain why they signed the Clipse. But it does make me wonder, what’s the fascination with wide nostrils?
