Corona And Lime

I had no idea what a Shwayze was when they took over MTv’s request channel a couple of weeks ago, except they reminded me of N*E*R*D on a budget, with a little Gym Class Heroes thrown in for cross over appeal.

Shwayze But what really got my attention was their video choices. They picked some of the ~~gayest~~ oddest clip’s I’d seen chosen by anyone with a penis, i.e. Ashlee Simpson, so I didn’t expect their song “Corona and Lime” to speak to me.

Their self titled album hits stores today (August 19), so I imagine their sound is as eclectic as their choice in music. The band is fronted by rapper / trendster Shwayze, DJ Skeet Skeet, and Whitestar renegade Cisco Adler. Since Corona and Lime’s are my beer of choice, it made sense this would end up on my radar. My only complaint, it’s not as good as the drink that inspired it.

So are we downloading Shwayze, or deleting it?
