We’re sure Tracee Ellis Ross is a little jealous she didn’t come up with Bleu Mag‘s latest concept as a modeling venture for herself – recreating her mothers famed film Mahogany.
Instead of using an actual Ross, Bleu tapped Diana Ross doppelganger Nichole Robinson to lend her best Dreamgirl poses to the pictorial – the results are very satisfying.

Mahogany has always been a favorite of mine, since it was a perfect example of life imitating art. When it was released in 1975 it chronicled the life of a black supermodel / designer, something that really didn’t exist on that level at the time.
Kudo’s to Bleu for a perfect homage to such a classic film.
