Graffiti artist Poster Boy 2.0′s Brooklyn’s subway ads.

Any New York subway rider will tell you, it’s easy to O.D. on all the ads canvassing everything. Recently a couple of Brooklyn straphangers got a break from the onslaught via the artistic stylings of an infamous talent called Poster Boy.

Poster BoyPoster Boy, a moniker designed by the vandal slash political mash-up artist, chooses to remain anonymous only appearing in images wearing a scarf around his lower face. According to a profile last year in New York Magazine, PB has manipulated over 200 underground posters since 2005 using a cut-and-paste method (pictured below).

What’s most peculiar about this story is that the MTA was so upset about subway stations turning into personal galleries, they had police track Poster Boy until his eventual arrest. Oddly enough, he was identified at a party for his subway images when officers heard him accepting accolades. If only he were more humble, he wouldn’t have that record.
