Patrick Taliaferro [Rocka] – Founder & Publisher / Arbiter of Cool
Born over a quarter of a century ago in Manheim Germany, P. T@li is a Senior Producer for A&E Television Networks and a superstar DJ — in his mind. He began his editorial career in 2004 with VIBE magazine as an online editorial assistant, then did a stint as the online editor for Men’s Fitness Magazine, and has worked as a Producer with Comedy Central Networks. In addition to his features in MF, his words (and sometimes image) have appeared in Go, Gotham, Upscale, Spin, The New York Press, Muscle & Fitness HERS and Mugshot magazines.
P.T@li currently resides in NYC and has appeared on VH-1‘s “Most Wanted Bodies,” — and some other video ventures he’d like to remain nameless. He is currently the online media host for web mainstay Mediabistro. and when he’s not bouncing around Manhattan, P.T@li curate’s the entertainment media portal Rocka.Candy.
J.J. McCorvey [Vocalz] – Managing Editor
Thirstier for editorial success than Kelly Rowland for a Top 10 hit, recent college grad J.J. McCorvey has interned for several publications and companies, including The Detroit News and The New York Times Institute. After publishing an explosive, award-winning article about administrative censorship at his college newspaper, he was officially bitten by the journalism bug and has remained hellbent on writing for the same publications he’s crushed on over the years.
